August always feels a little softer than July. The air still holds the warmth of summer, but the rhythm shifts. There’s less urgency. More stillness. Families who’ve been visiting begin to return home. The beaches feel a little quieter. Evenings stretch out gently without the same buzz of activity.

I’ve come to really appreciate this time of year. Not because it’s full of plans or parties, but because it invites something else. A kind of spaciousness. A chance to slow down and notice where I am, how I feel, what I might want more of in the months ahead.

For many women I know, August is a bit of a reset. The house empties out, the calendar opens up and suddenly there’s room to breathe again. It’s not about loneliness. It’s about presence. About choosing how to spend time rather than having it filled for you.

This quieter window is often the perfect time to reconnect - with ourselves and sometimes with others in new ways. That’s really the heart of what Warm Presence is about. It’s not about fixing anything or filling a gap. It’s about meeting someone in a moment of pause and choosing to share something thoughtful and real.

Whether that’s a walk through town, a gallery visit, or simply good conversation over coffee, it’s often in these slower moments that we feel most alive.

So if August feels spacious this year, maybe that’s a gift. Maybe it’s not something to fill, but something to gently explore.

Warmly,

Robin
